The Board recognizes that the Barbering and Cosmetology profession is constantly changing and we realize it is necessary to periodically review and update our processes. We are looking for committee participants that are in a position to provide more variety and a broader knowledge base for the Board, thereby greatly enhancing our knowledge and understanding of the issues facing the Barbering and Beauty industry.
The Board anticipates a one-year appointment term for Committee members, with appointments to a second-term at the discretion of the Executive Officer. Committee membership is not considered employment with the State of California. Members serve on a voluntary basis and do not receive salary, benefits or travel reimbursement.
