Governor Newsom announced a new "Blueprint for a Safer Economy," which became effective August 31. Please note that counties may restrict further, so check your local health department’s website as well for additional restrictions and/or guidelines.

Our examination sites in Fairfield and Glendale are open at half-capacity. Candidates are scheduled first based on those that had their exam canceled, pre-applications, and then in the order the applications were received. PSI sites are open, and candidates can call PSI to schedule written exams only or schedule for reciprocity license pickup. Please note: if you must take both portions of the exam, you must wait until you are scheduled by the Board. To call PSI regarding a written exam, please call (877) 392-6422. The Board applauds the Governor and CDPH for developing these guidelines for Institutions of Higher Education to open safely. The Board hopes that by adhering to the guidelines, schools will be able to provide a safe environment for their students, educators and clients and still help with flattening the COVID-19 curve. Regarding whether your school is permitted to reopen at this time, please contact the County your school is located in for guidance.
